Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere!

Janie's favorite game right now is "find da punkins!" We will be driving down the road and out of nowhere, I'll here exclaimed in a squeaky, little voice "PUNKIN, PUNKIN!!" It's no wonder since our last few weeks have been taken over by pumpkins and the patches they grow in.

At the first farm we visited, we enjoyed a corn maze, hay ride and some time feeding the animals. It was windy but fun. The girls also really enjoyed the hay slide, towers and piles of hay to play in. We ended the day with dinner at a restaurant with a play land. The girls were in heaven.
Later in the week, we painted some little pumpkins. Janie has asked to repeat the activity almost every day since. Lucky for her, I forgot to spray the pumpkins before putting them out on the front porch and the rain returned them to their original orange color so I foresee more pumpkin painting in the near future!

Last weekend, we headed out to another local pumpkin patch to finally pick our carving pumpkins. The girls loved the wagon ride out and back, pulled by daddy. Janie thought he was having so much fun, that she needed to join him on the way back. We were all thrilled to end our pumpkin hunting trip with another hayride. The girls loved it and I just love our girls!
